RATINGS: NIGHTLINE Outdelivers CBS' THE LATE LATE SHOW in Adults 25-54 & 18-49 for 7th Consecutive Week  Image

ABC News' "Nightline" averaged 1.021 million Total Viewers, 333,000 Adults 25-54 and 249,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of Feb. 3, 2020, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (284,000 and 197,000, respectively) in Adults 25-54 (+49,000) and Adults 18-49 (+52,000) for 7th consecutive week.

"Nightline" cut its margins with NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" from the same week last year in Adults 25-54 (-12% - 82,000 vs. 93,000) and Adults 18-49 (-20% - 53,000 vs. 66,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" is leading CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 (+27,000 - 386,000 vs. 359,000) and Adults 18-49 (+17,000 - 276,000 vs. 259,000), leading the CBS program in both key Adult demos in all 5 seasons that the two programs have aired in their respective time periods-since the 2015-2016 season.

In addition, "Nightline" is cutting its margins with NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" for the 3rd season in a row in both Adults 25-54 (-35% - 60,000 vs. 92,000) and Adults 18-49 (-41% - 43,000 vs. 73,000), posting its closest-ever Adults 18-49 performance in the 6 seasons the two shows have aired in their respective time slots-since the 2014-2015 season.

Last week "Nightline" had coverage of the Iowa caucuses, the State of the Union address, the Senate's vote to acquit President Trump on both articles of impeachment, ABC News' Democratic Debate in New Hampshire, and interviews with Shannon Doherty and Diane Keaton.

NOTE: On Friday (2/7/20), repeat telecast of CBS "The Late Late Show" was retitled to "The Late Late Show-JC." The telecasts are not included in THE WEEKLY averages. CBS' weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
