RATINGS: NBC Results For The Primetime Week Of April 15-21  Image

NBC has averaged a 0.6 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall for the primetime ratings week of April 15-21, according to "live plus same day" viewership figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The Monday edition of "The Voice" tied for #3 among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks in the key demographic of adults 18-49 for the week, In total viewers, the Monday "Voice" ranked #6 and the Tuesday edition finished #7.

Season to date, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 (tie) and all key adult-female demographics. In total viewers, excluding sports, NBC is running within 1.485 million persons of #1 CBS, NBC's closest position to #1 in total viewers at this point in the season, excluding sports, in 16 years, since trailing by 688,000 persons at this time in 2002-03.

Weekly ratings are "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date ratings are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Monday

NBC won Monday night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers and was #1 or tied for #1 among those nets in every other key measure.

"The Voice" (1.3 rating in 18-49, 7.7 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) grew +8% week to week in 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.2) and +0.5% in total viewers (7.7 million vs. 7.6 million). "Voice" scored ass the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.

"Live Plus 35 Day Plus Digital" Ratings: Monday's "The Voice" has grown by +70% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.76 to a 3.00).

"The Enemy Within" (0.6 rating in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the hour among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34, retaining 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.6 vs. 0.6) and 95% in total viewers (3.9 million vs. 4.1 million). L+7: "Enemy Within" has grown by +69% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+7 (from a 0.90 to a 1.52) and more than +3.0 million viewers overall (4.9 million to 8.0 million). L+35+Digital: "Enemy Within" has increased by +193% in the 18-49 demo going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 0.90 to a 2.64).

Tuesday

NBC tied for #1 for the night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49.

"The Voice" (1.0 rating in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the timeslot in women 18-49 and women 18-34, while ranking as the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49. Week to week," "Voice" retained 98% in total viewers (7.2 million vs. 7.3 million). L+35+Digital: The Tuesday edition of "The Voice" has increased by +68% in the 18-49 demo going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.70 to a 2.86).

"The Village" (0.6 rating in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) retained 93% week to week in total viewers (3.8 million vs. 4.1 million) and tied for #2 in the timeslot among the Big 4 networks in women 18-34. L+3: The prior week's "The Village" grew by +43% in 18-49 going from L+SD Nielsens to L+3 (0.7 to 1.0) and +1.4 million persons in total viewers (4.1 million to 5.5 million).

"New Amsterdam" (0.6 rating in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the timeslot among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas in adults 18-34 and all key adult-female demographics, while retaining 97% week to week in total viewers (4.5 million vs. 4.6 million). L+7: "New Amsterdam" has grown by +106% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.18 to a 2.43) and +5.3 million viewers overall (6.3 million to 11.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7. The gain of +5.335 million viewers is the #4 biggest L+7 lift on television so far this season. L+35+Digital: "New Amsterdam" has grown by +232% in the 18-49 demo going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 1.18 to a 3.95).

Wednesday

NBC's encore lineup finishes #2 for the night among the Big 4 networks in total viewers, averaging 3.862 million persons.

An encore "Chicago Med" (0.6 rating in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) was up +20% versus the previous week's rebroadcast in 18-49 (0.6 vs. 0.5) and +2% in total viewers (4.237 million vs. 4.161 million), to rank #2 in the timeslot in total viewers.

An encore telecast of "Chicago Fire" (0.6 rating in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) finished #2 in the timeslot in total viewers and maintained 100% of the prior week's rebroadcast in 18-49 (0.6 vs. 0.6).

A rebroadcast of "Chicago P.D." (0.5 rating in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked #2 in the timeslot versus original drama competition on ABC and CBS in total viewers, tied for #2 among those dramas in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and ranked #1 among those dramas in women 18-34.

Thursday

"Superstore" (0.9 rating in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) equalled the show's top 18-49 rating since March 22, 2018 (1.1 in 18-49), maintaining 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.9), despite the return this week of original competition from CBS' "The Big Bang Theory." Versus the same night last year, "Superstore" was up +13% in 18-49 (0.9 vs. 0.8) and +10% in total viewers (3.040 million vs. 2.759 million). L+35+Digital: "Superstore" generates 44% of its L+35+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, the #2 biggest percentage on the NBC schedule, behind only "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

"A.P. Bio" (0.5 rating in 18-49, 1.8 million viewers overall from 8:30-9 p.m. ET) retained 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.5) and has now delivered a steady 0.5 in 18-49 for a seventh consecutive telecast. L+7+Digital: "A.P. Bio" generates 35% of its L+7+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, tied for the #4 biggest percentage on the NBC schedule, behind only "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Superstore" and "The Good Place."

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (0.5 rating in 18-49, 1.8 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET) tied for #1 among the Big 4 networks in the timeslotamong men 18-34. L+35+Digital: "B99" derives 57% of its L+35+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, the #1 biggest percentage on the NBC schedule.

"Abby's" (0.4 rating in 18-49, 1.5 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained 100% week to week in adults 18-49 (0.4 vs. 0.4).L+7+Digital: "Abby's" generates 30% of its L+7+digital 18-49 rating from digital sources.

An encore telecast of "Law & Order: SVU" (0.5 rating in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in the timeslot among the ABC, CBS and NBC dramas in aduts 18-49 and adults 25-54 with ABC's original "For the People."

Friday

"Blindspot" (0.4 rating in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) retained 100% week to week in 18-49 (0.4 vs. 0.4) and grew +4% in total viewers (3.0 million vs. 2.9 million), maintaining a steady 0.4 rating in 18-49 for a fourth straight telecast.

"The Blacklist" (0.6 rating in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) equaled the show's season high for a Friday telecast in adults 18-49, growing week to week by +20% in 18-49 (0.6 vs. 0.5) and +13% in total viewers (4.0 million vs. 3.6 million). In the timeslot, "Blacklist" won the timeslot in total viewers and ranked #2 among Big 4 programs in adults 18-49. L+35+Digital: "Blacklist" is increasing by +204% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+35+Digital (from a 0.55 to a 1.67).

"Dateline NBC" (0.7 rating in 18-49, 1.0 in adults 25-54, 4.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) generated the show's high for a Friday edition since Dec. 14, 2018 in both adults 18-49 (0.8 from 9-11 p.m.) and total viewers (4.6 million), and since Jan. 18 in adults 25-54 (1.0). Week to week, "Dateline" was up +17% in 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.6), up +25% in 25-54 (1.0 vs. 0.8) and up +24% in total viewers (4.1 million vs. 3.3 million), growing week to week for a third straight week in both 18-49 (from 0.4 on March 29 to 0.5 on April 5 to 0.6 on April 12 to 0.7 on April 19) and total viewers (from 3.197 million on March 29 to 3.238 million on April 5 to 3.281 million on April 12 to 4.053 million on April 19). "Dateline" matched its second-best Friday 18-49 rating of the season, trailing only the Dec. 14 edition (0.8 from 9-11 p.m.).

Saturday

NBC Sports' 8:10-11:02 p.m. ET coverage of Stanley Cup Playoff hockey, featuring the Carolina Hurricanes at the Washington Capitals (0.5 rating in 18-49, 1.6 million viewers overall) tied as the #1 Big 4 primetime telecast of the night in 18-49.

Sunday

An encore telecast of "Ellen's Game of Games" averaged a 0.4 rating in 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET.

"World of Dance" (0.7 rating in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET) maintained a steady 0.7 in 18-49 for a fourth week in a row, despite special competition from CBS' "Motown 60" special and the night's Easter Sunday distractions. L+3: The previous week's "World of Dance" grew +43% in 18-49 rating going from L+SD to L+3 (from a 0.7 to a 1.0) and +997,000 viewers (3.3 million to 4.3 million). L+7+Digital: "World Dance" generates 18% of its L+7+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, the #1 biggest percentage among NBC alternative series.

"Good Girls" (0.5 rating in 18-49, 2.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) finished #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the timeslot in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 among those nets in women 18-34. L+3: The prior Sunday's "Good Girls" increased by +67% in 18-49 going from L+SD to L+3 (0.6 to 1.0) and by +1.3 million viewers (2.4 million to 3.7 million). L+35+Digital: "Good Girls" derives 43% of its L+35+digital 18-49 rating from nonlinear sources, the #1 biggest percentage among NBC dramas.
