Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, February 17, marking its second straight week at #1, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Sunday's broadcast featured exclusive interviews with New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D-N.Y.), Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and DNC chair Tom Perez.
3.832 million total viewers tuned in to the Sunday program as MTP topped both ABC and CBS by double-digits: +23 percent (+708,000) more than ABC's This Week and +13 percent (+446,000) more than CBS' Face the Nation. This marks the broadcast's 35th straight win over ABC in total viewers and 12th win over CBS out of the last 13 broadcasts. Compared to last week, MTP increased its total viewer lead over both ABC and CBS (+22% vs. ABC, +2% vs. CBS).
MTP also won in the demo most valued by news advertisers for its 55th straight broadcast, topping both ABC and CBS by double-digits. 979,000 A25-54 demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: +32 percent (+239,000) more than ABC and +28 percent (+216,000) more than CBS. This is the broadcast's best streak in over 18 years (since October 15, 2000). Compared to last week, MTP increased its demo lead over ABC by +25 percent.
Season-to-date, MTP is the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, delivering its best total viewer lead over ABC in seven years and CBS in eight years.
MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers for almost four straight years (since March 22, 2015).
An additional 1.087 million total viewers and 262,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
