Deadline reports that Quentin Tarantino has finished writing first draft of a script for his next project, with working title THE HATEFUL EIGHT. Tarantino revealed on The Tonight Show in November that his next movie would be a Western.
The film is in its early stages, but Tarantino is allegedly showing the script to a few actors he'd like to star in the pic, including Christoph Waltz, who won an Oscar for his role in DJANGO UNCHAINED and also worked with Tarantino on INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS. Waltz's upcoming movies include Muppets Most Wanted, Big Eyes, Horrible Bosses 2, Triple Nine, and Candy Store.
Bruce Dern, who recently starred in NEBRASKA, is also supposedly looking at the script. Among Dern's recent screen credits are Fighting for Freedom, Northern Borders, Coffin Baby, Inside Out and more, as well as the TV series Big Love.
Writer, director, producer and actor Tarantino has written screenplays for Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, From Dusk Till Dawn, the Kill Bill series, Grindhouse, Death Proof, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained and more. He has received two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, two BAFTAs and has earned nominations for an Emmy and a GRAMMY Award.
