An official selection at the Tribeca and ROME film festivals, the latest work (and boldest experiment yet) by Dutch filmmaker Paul Vehoeven (Total Recall, Basic Instinct, Black Book) was made together with hundreds of collaborators. The result is a uniquely cinematic experience that both feels like a quintessential Paul Verhoeven film and raises questions about issues of authorship and collaboration in filmmaking.
Incorporating crowdsourced suggestions on the script, music score, graphics and even elements of the set design, Paul Verhoeven's Tricked is a two-part experience that starts with an examining of behind the scenes process. Through interviews, pre-production meetings and public events taking place during the nine months of production, audiences can take a peek at this unique movie making process. The film's second part presents the finished product: a drama of lies and BETRAYAL that's as compelling and provocative as anything Mr. Verhoeven has done before.Videos
