Denis Kulikov a film maker from Russia has taken his film from festivals to worldwide distribution through video on demand. The action packed "So, You Want to Be a Gangster?" can now be seen on various platforms including "Vudu" and "Amazon".
The producer said, "The film which I co-produced with Alex Kahuam was definitely one of the hardest projects that I have ever done due to the complexity of the shoot and the storyline. Despite all the challenges we successfully wrapped the project and now it is available on VOD platforms around the world. This project opened a lot of doors for me and gave me many opportunities to work on other feature films that are currently in pre-production."
Kulikov was also among a select few to have a film screened at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles for his film "L.A.X". Film MAKERS compete for the prestigious prize as part of the "48 Hour Film Festival" which sees producers completing a film, from writing to shooting all the way through post production in just forty eight hours.
"Even when shooting feature films, for a producer the toughest part is pre-production. Considering our time constraints, to get "L.A.X" done was way harder than many other movies but everything paid off, we won an award and it was screened at the Directors Guild Theater," said Denis.
Denis is currently working on a feature film "Wreathe" and TV pilot "Mama's Boys." He will be working with producers who have chosen to work with him again due to his on-set talent.
