Producer Antonio Saillant Set for Keynote Interview at GREEN FESTIVAL EXPO NY

NYIT Alumnus and producer Antonio Saillant, founding owner of Angel Light Pictures Entertainment Group and Planet Greenfest, will participate in a keynote conversation interview with the Nature Channel on April 17 during this weekends Green Festival Expo New York event in their segment entitled, 'Nature Inspired.'

The Green Festival Expo kicks off there nationwide event in New York City this weekend on April 15-17 at the LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, Javits Center. The Green Festival is the largest and longest-running sustainability and green living event in the United States.

Christine Agro, the founder of Nature's Channel, which is an internet radio station with a focus on nature that streams 24/7 both live shows and podcasts are proud to be a media sponsor of the NYC Green Festival.

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to hear and learn and explore Saillant's topic of Sustainability and Climate Change within the Entertainment Industry," says Christine Agro, who will conduct the interview with him on-site at the Festival prior to his presentation.

Saillant's presentation entitled "Sustainability Within the Entertainment Business," will be one of the topics of conversation, along with Climate Change. Saillant is also a member of the Green Festival Advisory Board as Head of their Film Division.

Saillant's statement, "Climate change can no longer be denied. It can't be edited out and it can't be omitted from the conversation, simply saying the words 'climate change' doesn't mean climate change isn't happening." He learned THE ART OF sustainability and filmmaking make a great combination with his creative skills and together, he can make a difference in the world. Saillant Pays It Forward with his latest sustainable film festival, Planet Greenfest, in which the most important focus is on the environmental impacts of film and television production in order to set course in all businesses.

Saillant's career change to THE ART OF filmmaking was inspired by the cinematic wonder of Canadian Director, Ted Kotcheff. Saillant worked on high level film projects, learning the nuts and bolts of production and spent several years shadowing his mentor and friend, Ted Kotcheff, Executive Producer of NBC's popular television drama series, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Saillant gained knowledge and insight into how the industry works at the studio level.

There's no one in Hollywood and NYC who doesn't respect Saillant's determination in saving the planet, his vast knowledge of the industry and experience in energy conservation and his many contributions to our planet are remarkable. He has helped over 50,000 businesses as an Energy Engineer and Environmental Advocate. Saillant saved energy and dollars for New York City and New Jersey hospital systems, universities (Columbia and NYU), pharmaceutical companies (Hoffmann, BMS), as well as other major businesses including Federal/City Court systems, Radio City Music Hall, the old Yankee Stadium, the Hebrew Home for the Aged and the Jewish Home Lifecare System. One significant project was the World Bank in Washington, DC.

Saillant calls the Festival, The Power of Green, an event that celebrates sustainability. Saillant says, "When all nations from all sectors of society, governments, business and civil, work together to achieve one goal, we can build a more prosperous, healthier, cleaner and safer world for this and future generations."
