Premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY Gets Bigger, Growing to 21.5 Million Viewers with Live + 7-Day Lift

With live plus 7-day ratings, the season premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY increased to 21.5 million viewers while the series premiere averaged 13.6 million and was the night's top new program in viewers and key demos, according to Nielsen live plus 7-day ratings for Sept. 19.

THE BIG BANG THEORY added +5.70m viewers (21.52m from 15.82m, +36%), +2.5 in adults 25-54 (7.9 from 5.4, +46%) and +2.0 in adults 18-49 (5.8 from 3.8, +53%), the night's top 7-day lift in these measures. THE BIG BANG THEORY posted its best live plus 7-day audience delivery since Feb. 11, and best adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 live plus 7-day ratings since Feb. 25.

KEVIN CAN WAIT added +2.54m viewers (13.62m from 11.08m, +23%), +1.1 in adults 25-54 (4.8 from 3.7, +30%) and +0.9 in adults 18-49 (3.5 from 2.6, +35%) in live plus 7-day lift from live plus same day ratings. This is the time period's best live plus 7-day delivery in this half-hour in these measures since Oct. 26. KEVIN CAN WAIT was premiere Monday's top new program in viewers, adults 18-49 (tie) and adults 25-54.
