Season Premiere of FOOD NETWORK STAR Among Food Network's June Highlights

Food Network jumps into June with the season nine premiere of Food Network Star Sunday, June 2nd at 9pm directly followed by the season finale of Iron Chef America: Tournament of Champions at 10pM. Daytime programming also boasts three season premieres including The Pioneer Woman on Saturday, June 1st at 10am, Bobby Flay's Barbecue Addiction on Sunday, June 16th at 11:30am and Barefoot Contessa on Saturday, June 29th at 10am. With June comes grilling, and Food Network dedicates a whole weekend to grilling and barbecue with a themed weekend on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd from 7am-12pm featuring premiere episodes of daytime favorites. Celebrating fathers, Food Network serves all things Dad in a themed weekend on Saturday, June 15th and Sunday, June 16th from 7am-12pm. SEASON PREMIERE
Food Network Star
Premiering Sunday, June 2nd at 9pm -"Are You Ready for Prime Time?" - SEASON PREMIERE!
In the premiere episode of Food Network Star, twelve hopefuls arrive in Los Angeles to compete for the ultimate prize: their own show on Food Network. The finalists meet mentors Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay, who help prepare the finalists for the biggest audition of their lives. In the Mentor Challenge, each finalist films a pitch tape, hones in on their personal hook and explains why they are the best person for the job. Then, in the Star Challenge, each contestant must prepare and present one dish to Food Network executives Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson and a focus group of Food Network viewers who help decide who has a shot at becoming a Food Network Star. One contestant's dream ends here, and the remaining eleven continue their Star journey.

Iron Chef America: Tournament of Champions

The winning Iron Chefs battle for the tournament championship. Judges Donatella Arpaia, Karine Bakhoum and Iron Chef Bobby Flay determine who will become Grand Champion.

Ree's throwing a welcome home dinner for friends moving back to her town. She whips up Peppercorn Roasted Beef Tenderloin with fabulous Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and the two ingredient wonder dubbed The Bread. For dessert, she serves a show-stopping four layer Chocolate Strawberry Cake.
