Just days prior to the debut of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's "HITRECORD ON TV," Pivot (Pivot.tv), Participant Media's TV network targeting passionate Millennials (18-34), has ordered an eight episode sophomore season of the collaborative original series. The announcement was made today by Evan Shapiro, President of Pivot, at the bi-annual gathering of television critics in Pasadena.

"HITRECORD ON TV" is the re-imagination of the variety show, created, hosted, and directed by Gordon-Levitt and executive produced by Jared Geller and Brian Graden Media. The series is far from traditional as Gordon-Levitt directs countless artists from his global online community - hitRECord - to create short films, live performances, music, animation, conversation and more. Each episode focuses on a different theme as he invites and encourages anybody with an internet connection to join him and contribute. The eight-episode series will premiere on Pivot on Saturday, January 18 at 10pm ET/PT, with two back-to-back episodes.

"I'm deeply proud of this show and I'm thrilled that Pivot's giving us a chance to do it again," said Gordon-Levitt. "Honestly, making this together with all the artists from around the world in our hitRECord community has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life so far. I can't wait to start making the next season."

"Joe and thousands of artists around the world have come together to create something truly revolutionary -- a magical one-of-a-kind mix of genres, media and talent. We are thrilled to extend our relationship with Joe and the team on a second season to bring a spotlight to even more talented RECorders on Pivot," said Shapiro.
