TVLine.com reports that the pilot episode of the now defunct spin-off The Farm, starring Rainn Wilson, will air during the final season of NBC's 'The Office.'

According to The Office's Greg Daniels, the pilot is a "very good episode" and confirmed the news that it will air sometime before the season finale of the long-running NBC comedy. "We're not going to air exactly what it was, because it has certain aspects that were appropriate for a pilot of a new show," he explains. "We're going to shoot a little additional material to make it fit into the season more."

The new comedy would have featurEd Wilson's character Dwight Schrute as a farmer outside of Scranton, PA. Previous episodes of the hit NBC comedy have depicted Schrute's family background as beet farmers who manage a bed & breakfast in the outskirts of the city.
