According to The Hollywood Reporter Piers Morgan is set to anchor the coverage of the Queen's Jubilee for the CNN network. The network's live simulcast broadcast of the celebration will begin on June 3 at 11 am ET on CNN/U.S. and CNN International.
The Jubilee celebrates 60 years of the monarch's reign over the United Kingdom and Commonwealth. Coverage will begin on location from London's Tower Bridge when hundreds of boats sail up the River Thames. On Tuesday, June 5 at 9 a.m. ET, CNN will air the Royal Carriage Procession. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry of Wales will leave the Palace of Westminster for Buckingham Palace, with transportation provided by a horse-drawn carriage. Following the procession, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and members of the Royal Family will appear on Buckingham Palace’s balcony to observe the Royal Air Force flying over and a rifle fire salute from the Queen’s Royal Guard.
Also on tap for the network will be several Royals-themed programs including Kate and Wills: First Anniversary, Saturday, May 26 at 2:30 p.m. ET, and The Diamond Queen, Saturday, June 2 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
