Spider-Man swung by to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Thursday, which was part of New York's homegrown superhero's itinerary for "The Amazing Spider-Man Week NYC" to promote Sony Pictures Entertainment's Tuesday, July 3 release of "The Amazing Spider-Man," starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, among others.
Robby Manubay, an information communications technology consultant for Microsoft Support Services, was fortunate enough to be at the scene where Spider-man emerged from a subway station, did a little back flip, and quickly made his way into the NYSE building. (View his photos below.)
Diahann Billings-Burford, Chief Service Officer for NYC Service, said in a press statement that "NYC Service is very excited to be partnering with Sony Pictures Entertainment and the cast of 'The Amazing Spider-Man' in a national day of service that calls on all New Yorkers to volunteer and give back to their community. There will be projects ranging from beautifying community gardens to CPR trainings…"
Spider-Man will visit all five boroughs until Sunday, July 1. For a full calendar of events, visit www.spidermanweeknyc.com.
