Oscar-winning actress Dorothy Malone, best known as Constance Carson on soap opera Peyton Place, has died today at age 93.
Malone won her Oscar for best supporting actress for her performance in Written on the Wind, which she starred in alongside Rock Hudson, Lauren Bacall and Robert Stack. Other notable films included The Big Sleep opposite Humphrey Bogart, Too Much, Too Soon, Man of a Thousand Faces, and Warlock.
After years in film, she moved to television, taking on the iconic role in Peyton Place, and going on to star in the show's spinoff TV movies as well.
Malone's last appearance was in 1992's Basic Instinct alongside Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone.
