THE ROAD, directed by Yam Laranas and written by Yam Laranas and Aloy Adlawan, will be released in theaters May 11, 2012. The thriller stars Carmina Villaroel, Rhian Ramos, TJ Trinidad, Barbie Forteza, Lexi Fernandez, Derrick Monasterio, Alden Richards, Louise de los Reyes, and Renz Valerio.
THE ROAD tells the story of a twelve-year-old cold case that is reopened when three teenagers vanish while traversing an infamous and abandoned road. As investigators try to find leads to the whereabouts of the missing teens, they also unearth the road's gruesome past that spans two decades - a history of abduction, crimes and murders.
Running 110 minutes, the film is rated 'R' for violence, terror and some disturbing images.

International boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao hosts ‘THE ROAD' Premiere and After-Party at the Hollywood ArcLight Theatre on Wednesday night, May 9th. THE ROAD will be one of the first all-Filipino films to be commercially released in mainstream cinemas all over the US when it debuts in 16 markets theatrically - including New York and Los Angeles - on May 11th.
