Disney has just unveiled the newest muscle behind the Dark Side.
Below, take a look at the costume for 'Captain Phasma,' a female villain in STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, played by Gwendoline Christie (GAME OF THRONES), revealed at Disney's D23 Expo!
Disney has kept mum about the character for the most part, but they did include an official description of the materials used for the costume:
Helmet -- Chrome vacuum-plated 3-D printed nylon
Cape -- Cotton canvas coated and painted with binder
Armor -- Chrome vacuum-plated molded polyurethane
Undersuit -- Cotton lycra
Gussets -- Molded rubber and cotton and lycra
Collar -- Neoprene and rubber
Belt -- Rubber
Gloves -- Chrome-painted 3-D printed fingers over leather
Boots -- Chrome vacuum-plated polyurethane armor over leather
Set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, the film features a new generation of heroes and villains, as well as the return of Star Wars favorites.
J.J. Abrams directs the film starring Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong and Miltos Yerolemou.
THE FORCE AWAKENS will be followed on December 16, 2016 by Star Wars Anthology: ROGUE One, Star Wars: Episode VIII on May 26, 2017, and the Han Solo anthology movie on May 25, 2018.
