Peter Jackson Confirms Plans for ADVENTURES OF TINTIN Sequel

In an interview with BadTast.it, Peter Jackson has confirmed that plans are still in the works for a follow up to the hit film 'Tintin'. The famed director will begin work on the project as soon as he finishes up with 'The Hobbit' series of films.

Said Jackson, "As soon as I'm free of The Hobbit, I'll be going back into doing 'Tintin.' It was held up by The Hobbit, but we have every intention of doing another Tintin movie and it's just waiting on me to be done with these 'Hobbit' movies."

The Adventures of Tintin, which hit movie theaters in 2011, grossed over $370 million worldwide. The animated adventure film featured the voices of Daniel Craig, Jamie Bell, Simon Pegg, Cary Elwes, Daniel Mays, Andy Serkis, Nick Frost, Tony Curran, Toby Jones, Mackenzie Crook, Sebastian Roché, Jacquie Barnbrook, Phillip Rhys, Gad Elmaleh, Mark Ivanir, Sonje Fortag, Enn Reitel, Joe Starr, Kim Stengel, Ian Bonar, Ron Bottitta and Sana Etoile. It was directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Spielberg, Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy. John William composed the music.

"The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn" is the first in the series of 3D motion capture films based on the iconic character created by Georges Remi, better known to the world by his pen name "Herge" The film stars Jamie Bell as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig as the nefarious Red Rackham.
