Penn & Teller to Be Grand Marshalls of 2015 Hollywood Christmas Parade

Variety reports that legendary magicians Penn and Teller will serve as grand marshalls of this year's Hollywood Christmas Parade. The live event is taped for television and is presented by Associated Television International.

Said Associated Television International president Jim Romanovich, "We are thrilled to once again be a part of the Hollywood Christmas Parade, one of the greatest holiday traditions of all time, which is enjoyed by millions of families each year. This year, we are especially gratified to have both The CW and our good friends at Hallmark as our television partners. We are equally thrilled to be partnered with Toys for Tots once again. Through the parade and the generous support of our media partners the CW, Hallmark, Radio Disney, KOST, Entertainment Tonight, Variety, and so many more, we can continue to help provide the necessary awareness tools for the Marine Toys for Tots program, which is essential in their providing gifts to less fortunate children everywhere."

Co-hosting this year's parade will be Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, Dean Cain and Montel Williams. The parade begins at 5 p.m. on Nov. 29 on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. A two-hour special will air at 8 p.m. Dec. 11 on The CW while Hallmark CHANNEL will air multiple runs beginning Dec. 19 on their Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. The parade will also be broadcast to more than one million American servicemen and women worldwide on American Forces Network.

Penn and Teller recently starred in PENN AND TELLER ON BROADWAY, for a six-week run at the Marquis Theater. The Broadway engagement included both elements of their Las Vegas show and classics from their repertoire. They were recently voted the 2015 Best Magicians for the eighth time in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's "Best of Las Vegas" poll.

Penn & Teller made their stunning off-Broadway debut in 1985 and first played Broadway in 1987. Following a national tour, they returned to Broadway in 1991 with The Refrigerator Tour which then moved off-Broadway. Their last New York stage appearance was a week-long engagement at the Beacon Theatre in 2000. Their numerous honors include an Obie Award, an Emmy, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
