According to UK's The Sun, producers of AMC's MAD MEN have approached Sir Paul McCartney for permission to use some of his solo music on their show. They also offered him the opportunity to have a 'walk-on' cameo appearance. According to the report, the 69-year old former Beatle has agreed to both offers.

The source told The Sun, "Action in the show has now reached the Swinging Sixties. So it's only right that the man who was pivotal to the era is involved in the show."

McCartney is currently promoting his new album 'Kisses on the Bottom'. Last week, the legendary singer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Upon receiving the honor, Sir Paul commented, 'I couldn't have done it without a certain three boys, so I want to say thanks to those guys, John, George and Ringo.'

McCartney appeared Sunday night on the 54th Annual Grammy Award ceremony. He performed the show's finale along with stars Bruce Springsteen and Joe Walsh
