NBC's SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL features a rematch of SUPER BOWL LI between New England and Atlanta, as the Matt Ryan-led Falcons (3-2) travel to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., to face Tom Brady and the Patriots (4-2). Coverage begins with FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA this Sunday, October 22, at 7 p.m. ET, on NBC.

Sunday's CONTEST marks the eighth time in NFL history that the previous season's SUPER BOWL participants will meet for a rematch the following year, and just the third time they will meet in primetime (GB-NE, 10/27/97; DEN-CAR, 9/8/16). The Patriots lead the overall series, 8-6.

New England erased a 25-point deficit to cap off a 34-28 victory against Atlanta in SUPER BOWL LI at NRG Stadium in Houston. The Patriots scored 25 unanswered points in the second half to push the game to overtime, where RB James White finished off a 75-yard drive with a two-yard touchdown run to complete the largest comeback in SUPER BOWL history. Brady amassed a SUPER BOWL record 466 passing yards and was named SUPER BOWL MVP for the fourth time.

The Patriots enter Sunday's CONTEST following a 24-17 win over the New York Jets (3-3). With the victory, Brady (187) surpassed Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre (186) and Peyton Manning (186) for the most regular-season wins by a quarterback in NFL history. Through six games, New England ranks first in total offense (412.0) and passing yards per game (309.8), and Brady's 15 completed passes of 20-or-more yards rank first in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.

Atlanta fell to the Miami Dolphins (3-2) on Sunday, 20-17. The Falcons rushed for 100 yards for the fourth consecutive game, and Ryan completed 24-of-35 passes for 248 yards and one touchdown. Ryan has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 23 straight games, currently the longest streak in the NFL. According to Pro Football Focus, Julio Jones is the second-highest rated wide receiver through six weeks. He ranked first in 2016.

Calling Falcons-Patriots are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 32nd season as THE VOICE of the NFL's premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

NBC's coverage of SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by Mike Tirico, who will report on-site from Gillette Stadium, and Dan Patrick, who will host from Studio 1 at NBC Sports Group's International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Patrick is joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, two-time SUPER BOWL winner Rodney Harrison, and Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com and PFT Live on NBCSN and NBC Sports Radio. Kathryn Tappen will report from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on the Seahawks-Giants game.
