Paramount Players Buys Comedy Set at Coachella

Paramount Players has bought an untitled comedy pitch that is set at Coachella, according to Deadline.

The pitch is being called Devil Wears Prada meets Adventures In Babysitting, and is inspired by true events that are being kept under wraps.

The script will be written by Brandy Finmark and Jessica Blackwell and The Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson of The Gotham Group will produce the film.

Finmark and Blackwell previously sold their original action-comedy spec script, Pros & Cons to Paramount with FeigCo producing. Finmark also served as a writer on Chelsea for Netflix.

The film will be executive produced by Rachel Rovner and Caroline Vein. Ali Bell and Lawdie Pahlavan are overseeing the film for Paramount Players.

The Gotham Group is currently in post production on Stargirl at Disney. They also sold a film, based on the short story ByAll , to Legendary. The Gotham Group will also produce, with Steven Caple Jr directing from script by Juel Taylor and Tony Rettenmaier.
