USA Today reports that a revival of the series PRISON BREAK, which aired from 2005- 2009 is currently in the works at FOX.
The 10-episode sequel will revisit the series which starred Dominic Purcell as a prisoner and Wentworth Miller as his tattooed brother, who assisted him in his escape from prison.
FOX CEO Dana Walden told reporters that the project "picks up the characters several years after we left them" in the fourth season, and will ignore the recent straight-to-video film in which Michael (Miller) dies."The brothers will be back, and it addresses questions set up at the end of the series," she shared, adding that the show has had "the opportunity to find whole new audience on Netflix, and gave us enthusiasm that people are still interested in these characters."
Creator Paul Scheuring will pen the series. An air date has not yet been announced.Photo credit: Bill Matlock/Fox
