Things are taking a dark turn on tonight's episode of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS. The group of friends have potentially found where A is hiding Mona's body, and could become suspects for her murder. Ali is still in prison, but was assured my an anonymous letter that her friends would be joining her. While all of the girls are concerned with A's next move, they also have their own personal agendas.
Emily is trying to deal with Paige's distance, while working with a new co-worker that rubs her the wrong way. Spencer has a new (and flirty) house guest. Hanna has to confront her mother about seeing Allison's brother Jason coming down from her bedroom buttoning up his shirt (that is going to be a fun mother-daughter conversation). Aria has just been accepted to Talmadge College, which was not her first choice, not only because it isn't the greatest of schools, but because Ezra's vengeful ex girlfriend Jackie is an admissions counselor.
The girls met in Ezra's new coffee shop/bookstore to reconvene, and Aria received a note from A in the form of her coffee receipt. She tries to talk to Ezra and tell him about Jackie, but he is busy with various phone calls. Hanna talked to her mom about the previous night, and Ashley was defensive and did not want to talk about it (which I understand...I wouldn't want to talk about my one night stand with my daughter's nemesis' older brother either). Spencer and Toby are still on the outs about their fight last night, but are interrupted by Jonny, who will be renting the barn. Aria gets a message back at the coffee shop to meet Holbrook later that day, but Emily is hesitant abbot letting her go alone. At the Hastings house, Spencer and Jonny bond over making paint from scratch....that is, until she gets a text from dead enemy-turned-ally Mona Vanderwaal.
At Caleb's, Hanna and Spencer find out that the text was an alert that went off when her laptop was unlocked. It set off the coordinates of a storage facility and Caleb, along with Spencer, go take a look. Meanwhile, Holbrook seems to be a no show at lunch, but Aria runs into Jason and they decide to have lunch together. At the storage place, Spencer talks to one of the other renters to try to find out if there is anything fishy going on, and finds out that there has been an awful smell (a dead body perhaps?) in one of the other storage units, and Caleb tries to pick the lock to find out more.
At lunch, Jason and Aria swap Ali theories and find out they both think she had help with whatever her plans were on the police force. Hanna meets with her mother's boyfriend and she thinks it's because of Jason, but he actually wants to ask her permission to propose to Ashley. She agrees, but then leaves a message for her mom, potentially to warn her that it is happening. Emily is still having issues with , but they have a moment of truce when the two of them talk about Emily's relationship with Paige. Spencer and Caleb successful break into the desired storage unit and find Mona's laptop, bloody clothes wrapped in plastic, and a barrel along with ingredients to either preserve or disintegrate a body. When the pair go to open the barrel to find out if Mona is it it, the lights went out...and a commercial break. Fun.
Aria receives a bouquet of flowers to deliver to an address, which she assumes has something to do with Holbrook, while Emily sows up her tattered t-shirt Paige gave her, and prepares to send a package to her. Hanna's mom gets home and she still doesn't want to talk about Jason, but Hanna lets her have it anyway. Safely back at Caleb's house, Spencer is becoming paranoid about someone finding out about where they were.
The flowers ended being for Hanna's mother from Jason, but Hanna thinks it is from Alison because she visited her in prison. Spencer and Toby start their night off with a loving game of Scrabble, but after a mysterious text from Caleb, they end up in another fight. At the Marin house, Ted proposes in a really sweet way, but Ashley (probably racked with guilt) says she needs a minute to think and walks away. Hanna reassures Ted that everything is fine. When he leaves, Ashley tells her daughter that she is going to let Ted know about her night with Jason. Aria is still contemplating whether or not to tell Ezra about Talmadge, while Emily and Talia pick up their checks (and Talia tries to flirt...and asks Emily about her former teacher's butt. Awkward.) Jonny and Spencer talk about college, and its importance (or lack thereof), and Caleb drops by Hanna's to drop a bomb: the storage unit with all of that incriminating stuff? It's rented in her name. Once again, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS makes me yell "WHAT?!" at my television screen and makes it nearly impossible to wait until next Tuesday's episode.
Do you think Mona's body is in that barrel? What do you think about Ted's proposal? Let's talk about the episode in the comments below, or on twitter (@OfficialGigi)! Be sure to tune in to PRETTY LITTLE LIARS Tuesday nights at 8/7 on ABC Family!
