PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting's New York CW affiliate, has partnered with Broadway Channel to present "Broadway Profiles" a series of quarterly Primetime Broadway specials hosted by PIX11's Emmy-Award winning anchor Tamsen Fadal. The first installment, "Broadway Profiles: The Road to the Tonys," will air on PIX11 this Sunday, May 25th at 7pm ET.
The 30-minute special, "Broadway Profiles: The Road to the Tonys," will detail this year's Tony Award nominations and feature exclusive interviews with actors Chris O'Dowd, Harvey Fierstein and Nick Cordero. "Broadway Profiles: The Road to the Tonys" will also detail the Broadway stars who received nominations and those who were snubbed, with some of the biggest stars of the season not receiving a nod, including Denzel Washington, Zach Braff and Alan Cumming.
PIX11 has set up a special section of the station's website, PIX11.com/Broadway, where the original on-air content will be housed and-live streamed. Hashtag #BACKSTAGEONBROADWAY has been created to create social engagement with fans through PIX11's extensive social media channels.
In addition, each Thursday at 10pm, PIX11 News airs "Backstage on Broadway" a weekly segment hosted by Tamsen Fadal, covering what's trending on Broadway.
Broadway Channel VP Matthew Hege and Rebecca Millman serve as the executive producers for Broadway Profiles.
