PHOTO: Anne Hathaway Beats Paparazzi to the Punch by Sharing First Baby Bump Pic

As BWW previously reported, Academy Award winning actress Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman are expecting their first child. Yesterday, the actress turned to Instagram to beat the paparazzi to the punch by posting her own photo of her growing baby bump. (at left)

Along with the image, the 33-year-old commented:

Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends! So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :)

Hathaway won an Academy Award for her role in LES MISERABLES. She most recently appeared on the big screen in THE INTERN. Among her recent film credits are INTERSTELLAR, SONG ONE, DON JON, LES MISERABLES and more. She recently starred in GROUNDED at The Public Theater and has previously appeared onstage in TWELFTH NIGHT at Shakespeare in the Park, as well as a 2005 benefit performance of CHILDREN AND ART and Encores! concert production of CARNIVAL! in 2002.
