Phoenix, Made up of Thomas Mars, Laurent "Branco" Brancowitz, Christian Mazzalai and Deck d'Arcy, came together as a band as teens in their hometown of Versailles, France. Their first major release was United in 2000, followed by Alphabetical in 2004, It's Never Been Like That in 2006, and their mainstream breakthrough and GRAMMY Award-winning album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, was released in 2009. Their latest album, Bankrupt!, was released today, April 23, on Glassnote Records and Loyaute. As their first release in four years, Phoenix began working on the album almost immediately after the close of their last tour for Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Bankrupt! features influences from each of the band members' youth and was written and recorded in both New York City and Paris, France. Currently, Phoenix is on tour across North America and the United Kingdom. For more information visit: www.wearephoenix.com.
