Two-time GRAMMY® nominee Patton Oswalt returns to Comedy Central in the network television premiere of "Patton Oswalt: Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time" debuting on the network on Sunday, April 6, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The special will be available in advance of the on-air premiere on Tuesday, April 1 on CC: Stand-Up Direct.

In his latest stand-up special, Oswalt covers the trials and tribulations of frozen food, a failed outing with a prostitute, fatherhood and beyond. All of that, combined with a packed house at San Diego's Spreckels Theater during Comic-Con, makes this an unforgettable special that is surely Oswalt at his best.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, Comedy Central Stand-Up will feature preview clips from the special, including a special animated clip produced by CC:Studios. Fans can follow Oswalt on Twitter at @pattonoswalt, and he will also engage with Comedy Central fans via a CC Tumblr "Ask a Professional Comedian" live event.

"Patton Oswalt: Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time" extended and uncensored edition will be available for download on CC: Stand-Up Direct on Tuesday April 1. It will be available on iTunes, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, and Target, and also as a CD/DVD combo, on April 8. The digital album will be available via iTunes, Amazon MP3, and other major retailers on April 8.

As a comedian, Oswalt has shot four TV specials and recorded four critically acclaimed albums, including "Finest Hour," which received a Grammy nomination in 2011 for "Best Comedy Album." In 2009, he received his first Grammy nomination for his album "My Weakness Is Strong."

In addition to his Grammy-nominated stand-up work, Oswalt has also found success on the big screen. In December he appeared in the comedy "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" with Ben Stiller. In 2012, Oswalt was nominated for a Critics' Choice Award for his brilliant performance in Jason Reitman's film "Young Adult," starring Charlize Theron. In 2009, he received critical acclaim for his performance in Robert Siegel's "Big Fan," which was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award; Oswalt earned a Gotham Award nomination for his performance. On the small screen, Oswalt is known for his many memorable guest roles on TV shows, including "Parks and Recreation" (2013 TV Critics' Choice Award winner), "Portlandia," "Justified," "Two and a Half Men," and as the narrator of ABC's new comedy "The Goldbergs."

"Patton Oswalt: Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time" is executive produced by Oswalt, John Irwin and Generate's Dave Rath; and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait. Jonas Larsen and JoAnn Grigioni are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.

Comedy Central, the #1 brand in comedy, is the home for the biggest names in stand-up including recent one-hour specials from Daniel Tosh, Kevin Hart, Jeff Dunham, Gabriel Iglesias, DL Hughley, Amy Schumer, Anthony Jeselnik, Aziz Ansari, Chris Hardwick, Hannibal Buress, John Mulaney, Al Madrigal, Demetri Martin, Pete Holmes, Bill Cosby, Jeff Ross, Nick Kroll, Patton Oswalt and more.

In addition to its specials, Comedy Central stand-up series include "John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show," "Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution," "Mash Up," "The Half Hour,"
