The season two premiere of Oxygen's tattoo competition series "Best Ink" delivered the network's highest rated Wednesday premiere ever among total viewers and adults 18-49, according to Nielsen. Wednesday's premiere (4/3/13) earned 494,000 total viewers, marking a five percent increase compared to the season one premiere (3/27/12). In addition, the season two premiere achieved impressive triple digit growth versus the prior four week time period, up 113 percent with adults 18-49 and up 106 percent with total viewers, as well as up 89 percent with women 18-49. According to SocialGuide, the premiere of "Best Ink" season two ranked as the #1 most social competition reality series yesterday in Cable and ranked within the Top 5 most social reality series in Cable.

In last night's episode, the artists' drawing skills were put to the test in the first "Flash Challenge" which tasked them with spray-painting an L.A. billboard--while hanging six stories in the air. Then during the "Ink Challenge," the contestants had to create a "street-style" tattoo that told the story of how their skins (clients) overcame tough battles in life. At the end of last night's episode, Carolyn Cadaver of Tampa, FL was eliminated as the judges decided she did not have what it takes to be the "Best Ink."

On next week's episode airing on Wednesday, April 10 at 10PM ET/PT, the artists discover that there is more than one way to tell a story when they are faced with creating tattoos using a controversial medium. Music recording artist and host of Oxygen's "Bad Girls All Star Battle" Ray J (@RayJ) drops by to guest judge the mysterious "Flash Challenge."

"Best Ink" is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, a Banijay Group company, with Jonathan Murray, Gil Goldschein, and Rick DeOlivera serving as executive producers and Sam Berns and Tony Croll serving as co-executive producers.
