Fueled by ratings success, Oxygen Media announced today the renewal of critically acclaimed docu-series "The Prancing Elites Project" for a second season which will expand from 30 minutes to an hour-long format. All five members - Adrian Clemons, Kentrell Collins, Kareem Davis, Jerel Maddox and Tim Smith - will return. In line with the network's new programming filter targeting young, multicultural women, the series delves into the personal and professional lives of an African American, gay and gender non-conforming dance troupe from Mobile, Alabama as they challenge societal norms with passion and wit. "The Prancing Elites Project" was the network's highest-rated series premiere among all key demos since its rebrand (October 2014.) As Oxygen remains the youngest women's network in prime, the series struck a chord with young viewers, delivering a median age of 34. The debut season exceeds the prior year time period average by triple digits, up 185 percent in P18-49, 165 percent in total viewers and 192 percent in F18-34, to-date.

"The Prancing Elites Project" has also found vast cross-platform success, generating over 94 million total impressions on Twitter and Facebook alone, as well as 10 million total engagements over the course of the season thus far. After #PrancingElites trended in the U.S. during the premiere, fans have remained engaged with in-episode conversation volume on Twitter remaining strong week over week.

"The Prancing Elites' unique and emotional journey is a resounding hit with Oxygen's diverse, millennial audience. Their ability to face uphill battles with determination and humor allows viewers to not only relate to them, but also be inspired by them," said Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media. "We are proud to keep sharing the group's authentic story as they continue to reach for their dreams now more than ever on the heels of the most monumental Pride month in our country's history."
