E! was THE destination for a record 1.1 million total viewers who tuned in to honor and remember the iconic Joan Rivers with the network's commemorative 90-minute special "Fashion Police: Celebrating Joan" on Friday, September 19 (8-9:30pm), more than doubling the year ago time period (+127%). The special also boasted a .93 HHLD rating, up +121% versus the year ago norm, marking a series best with both Households and Total Viewers.

The special was preceded by "Joan Day," an all-day marathon of "Fashion Police" episodes (7:00am - 7:00pm), that helped propel E! to its most-watched and highest-rated Friday in over two years. Social media was abuzz regarding the special on Friday (September 19), and "Fashion Police" was the #2 most talked about cable program of the day (excluding sports).

E!'s "Joan Day" programming included an all-day marathon that showcased some of Joan's best jokes from "Fashion Police." Back-to-back episodes, including Joan's milestone 80th birthday celebration and the last "Fashion Police" she did for the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS and Primetime Emmy special, were belly-achingly funny and highlighted some of Joan's most outrageous moments from her past four years on the series.

The "Fashion Police" family honored Joan's memory with an on-point 90-minute on-air celebration befitting of the woman whose sharp wit and biting comedy made her a legend to millions of fans, and who changed FOREVER the face of Red Carpet fashion commentary. Joined by Joan's daughter and "Fashion Police" executive producer Melissa Rivers, along with her onscreen "family" Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic, and George Kotsiopoulos, fans were treated to a heartfelt tribute to Joan's years as the host of "Fashion Police."

"Fashion Police" will return in 2015 commencing with Golden Globes coverage on Monday, January 12.
