ROUGH DRAFT WITH REZA ASLAN is a fast-paced and timely talk show about writers and the writer's life. On Rough Draft, some of today's biggest writers (movies, television, books and music) sit with Reza for a lively but intimate discussion that's both provocative and entertaining. The five-part, weekly series premieres on Ovation TV, America's only arts network, today, Sunday, February 28 at 8:30pm ET with television icon, Norman Lear as the first guest.

Reza Aslan is a best-selling author (Zealot, No god But God); producer (The Leftovers (HBO) and Of Kings and Prophets (ABC) and host Believer (CNN). Intercut throughout Rough Draft are clips of candid exclusive green room footage featuring Aslan, the main guest and the evening's musical guest, all sharing tales over drinks. In addition to Norman Lear, guests include Jill Soloway (Transparent, Six Feet Under), Mike White (Enlightened, Chuck and Buck), Damon Lindelof (Lost), Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland). Musical guests include Antonio Sanchez (Composer, Birdman) Daniel Lanois (Composer/Producer), Local Natives, Ingrid Michaelson, The Bird & The Bee, Alison Sudol and others.
