Today, Oprah Winfrey talks to Dr. Oz about her health epiphany and how her spiritual journey has led to her ultimate joy. Plus, a look at her new film "Selma" that portrays a pivotal moment in the nation's history and how it echoes what is playing out across the country today.
On her advice from Barbara Walters, Winfrey says: "I scheduled my time away so that I actually have a day to get to wherever I'm going. And then a day to have downtime so that I can experience whatever it is in whatever city. Actually it was Barbara Walters who'd said to me that she'd been around the world, but she never really enjoyed any of it. Wasn't allowed to enjoy any of it because you're just working, working, working, working, working."
On meditation, Winfrey opens up: "I literally try to take moments to actually be still, and that's what meditation is for me. It is being able to connect to the stillness, the still space that goes on within all of us."
The Dr. Oz Show, airs Friday, December 19, 2014.
