One-of-a-Kind Skateboarding Contest RED BULL HART LINES Airs Red Bull TV 5/13

RED BULL HART LINES, one of the most dynamic competitions in skateboarding with its one-of-a-kind course layout and CONTEST format, returns to Detroit's historic Hart Plaza. The action will air live only on Red BULL TV May 13 at 12:30pm PST/7:30pm UTC. Red BULL TV is distributed digitally as an app across mobile phones, tablets, consoles, OTT devices, Smart TVs and online at www.redbull.tv.

The Red BULL Hart Lines course is comprised of two distinct lanes, each with its own set of skateable features as well as existing stair sets, rails and ledges. Athletes will skate each lane twice, and based on a combination of style and skill, the top score from each lane is then averaged and balanced against the quickest time to determine which skater will take home the 2017 Red BULL Hart Lines title.

After not competing last year due to injury, CONTEST visionary Ryan Sheckler returns to take on a stacked roster of elite professionals. Defending champion and world number one Nyjah Huston, Brazilian standout Felipe Gustavo and former Transworld Skateboarding Street Skater of the Year Torey Pudwill all look to the top the podium. The 2017 event also marks the first time a female skateboarder is on the invite list as Brazil's Leticia Bufoni will be competing alongside the rest of the field in Detroit.
