Olivia Munn in Talks to Join Johnny Depp in MORTDECAI

According to Deadline, Olivia Munn is in talks to join Johnny Depp in MORTDECAI, an adaptation of Kyril Bonfiglioli's 1970s book series The Great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery for Lionsgate.

David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, Premium Rush) will direct from his own script based on a draft by Eric Aronson. Depp will also produce.

As BWW previously reported, Depp would play Charles Mortdecai, an art dealer who "must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold."

Details on Munn's role were not revealead in the announcement.

Munn currently stars in HBO's Newsroom and was recently seen in the films Magic Mike and Babymakers. Her other credits include Attack of the Show! Big Stan, Insanitarium, Date Night and Iron Man 2. Munn appeared in ABC Family's Greek, portraying Cappie's love interest, Lana. She was also a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show.
