The tradition of the American nun appears to bewaning. Fewer and fewer women are choosing to become nuns, but despite thiscrisis, the call to faith is no less profound, impassioned and mysterious. The upcoming "Brides of Christ" episode explores the calling and the passion of women who choose to pursue a religious vocation. During the one-hour episode, host Lisa Ling meets several women from around the country who are answering that call. Through their stories, "Brides of Christ" examines the breadth of this religious vocation - from those who choose the restrictive world of contemplative life, with hours of silence and prayer - to those who participate in active orders that serve God by working in society's margins.
