According to the Los Angeles Times, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has fined the producers of AMC television show "The Walking Dead" for the death of a stuntman who died working on an episode last summer.

John Bernecker, 33, died from injuries resulting from a fall that occured while filming. Bernecker fell from a balcony more than 20 feet onto a concrete floor and suffered a head injury. The death was ruled an accident. The production company, Stalwart Films LLC has been fined $12,675 for failing to protect its workers.

Stalwart Films, in a statement issued by AMC, said: "This was a tragic and terrible accident. We take the safety of our employees extremely seriously on all of our sets and comply with - and frequently exceed - industry safety standards. We disagree with the issuance of this citation and are considering our response."

Bernecker was an experienced stuntman who appeared in many recent films, including "Get Out," "Logan," and "The Fate of the Furious."
