Lea DeLaria, popularly known as "Big Boo" on Netflix's ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, has signed with The Kurland Agency - home to Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis - for exclusive worldwide live performance and appearance representation. This news comes just days before the premiere of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK season five on Friday, June 9 as well as DeLaria's role in Disney*Pixar's Cars 3 film and Original Motion Picture Soundtrack scheduled for June 16 release. DeLaria is also scheduled to serve as Grand Marshall for both the Cincinnati Pride Parade as well as Chicago's 48th Annual Pride Parade on June 24 and June 25 respectively and will be featured in the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Mamma Mia! running July 28-30.

The Kurland Agency is now booking DeLaria, who has a multi-faceted two-decade career as a comedian, actress and jazz vocalist, worldwide for 2017-2018 live performances and appearances.

"I have been a big fan of Lea the performer and Lea the person for many years," says Ted Kurland, CEO of The Kurland Agency. "She is an audacious personality whose uniquely genuine 'take' on her music, comedy and acting, is rapidly embellishing her growing worldwide reputation as a true 'original'. We intend to emphasize that originality and put Lea in front of a broad range of audiences who will discover and appreciate her."

Reflecting on the signing, DeLaria says, "I'm sorry, who's Ted Kurland again?"

More information on DeLaria's 2017-2018 appearance and performance activity will be announced in the coming weeks.
