NBC Sports Group continues its 26th season of NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL on NBC this Saturday, September 24 at 3:30 p.m. ET, when the Fighting Irish host the Duke Blue Devils at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind.
Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly and the Fighting Irish (1-2) enter Saturday's game looking to rebound after a 36-28 loss to then No. 12 Michigan State, in which QB DeShone Kizer completed 20 of 37 passes for a career-best 344 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, Kizer rushed for two touchdowns. Duke head coach David Cutcliffe and the Blue Devils (1-2) visit South Bend following a 24-13 loss at Northwestern, where QB Daniel Jones connected on 27 of 48 passes for 279 yards. Saturday's matchup will mark the fourth meeting between the Fighting Irish and the Blue Devils, with the rivalry dating back to 1958. The two teams last met in 2007, when Notre Dame defeated Duke 28-7 at Notre Dame Stadium. The Fighting Irish hold a 3-1 all-time lead in the series. All three of Notre Dame's victories against Duke have been at home.
