Noticias Telemundo Investiga, the investigative unit of the Hispanic network's news division, presents "Los papeles secretos de los Zetas," a series of four reports containing new evidence of the Mexican cartel's reach and activities. "Much has been said about Juan Manuel Muñoz Luévano, alias 'El Mono Muñoz,' but this is the first time we'll see documented proof of his activities and criminal ties," said Elena González, Director of NOTICIAS TELEMUNDO Investiga. "This series offers an unusual glimpse into the workings of one of Mexico's most violent cartels, giving the public a closer look at the tragic footprint left by Los Zetas, one of the first examples of a twenty-first century drug-trafficking organization, and the current state of its operations."
The first episode of "Los papeles secretos de los Zetas" focuses on the financial brains behind the cartel, Juan Manuel Muñoz Luévano. It features exclusive evidence from police investigations into his activities, including shocking witness testimony and recorded telephone conversations.
