Rivals.com's No. 1 ranked College Football recruit Da'Shawn Hand will make his college declaration live on NBCSN's SportsDash with Yahoo Sports, and Rivals.com, Yahoo Sports, today, November 14 at Noon ET. SportsDash will air a specially produced show surrounding the event, including feature segments on Hand, interviews with football experts, and analysis from Rivals.com's national recruiting director, Mike Farrell, and Yahoo Sports College Football columnist Pat Forde. Yahoo Sports will produce a separate show that will stream live on Rivals.com.
Hand, who is considered by Rivals.com to be the nation's best
High School Football player in the 2014 class of
College Football prospects, will make the announcement live from his school's gymnasium at Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, Va. Choosing between Alabama, Florida and Michigan, Hand has received more than 90 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) offers. He will be joined onsite by his family, the Woodbridge
High School Football team, coaches, student body, and the school's marching band.
The 6-foot-4, 248-pound defensive end was a standout player at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour at Soldier Field, and won defensive line MVP at the three day event. He was recognized last year by Rivals.com as the
High School Football Junior of the Year, and was chosen as a 2012
USA Today
High School Football All-American.
Leading up to Thursday's announcement, NBCSports.com (http://www.nbcsports.com), Rivals.com (http://www.rivals.com), and CSNwashington.com (http://www.csnwashington.com) will feature in-depth editorial coverage about Hand, his
High School Football career, and the schools he may choose.
After Hand announces his college selection, NBCSports.com, Rivals.com, and CSNwashington.com will feature post-declaration coverage focused on the announcement and its impact.
The event is an extension of the strategic alliance between Yahoo! Sports and
NBC Sports Group, which includes SportsDash, Fantasy Football Live, and combined digital sports traffic roll up.
