Nina Dobrev in Talks to Join Ellen Page in FLATLINERS Remake

According to Deadline, Nina Dobrev is in talks to join Ellen Page and Diego Luna in a reboot of the 1990's sci-fi thriller FLATLINERS.

Niels Arden Oplev will direct the project from a screenplay by Ben Ripley. David Blackman and Laurence Mark will produce.

The original 1990 film starred Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland and Kevin Bacon as medical students who found a way to travel into the afterworld and resurrect themselves. The film went on to receive an Academy Award nom for sound effects editing.

Dobrev rose to fame on The CW's hit series THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, which she departed last year after six seasons.
