Nicole Scherzinger to Join UK's X FACTOR

Deadline.com reports that Nicole Scherzinger is set to join the judges panel of the UK's X FACTOR.  Earlier this year, the singer was axed from the U.S. version of the show along with fellow judge Paula Abdul and show host Steve Jones. The British press reports that Scherzinger will be replacing judge Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child.

According to The Mirror, the singer was first offered $770,000 to come on board the show's UK version, but by the end of negotiations, her fee rose to $1.17 million. Scherzinger will reportedly join judges Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos as early as this Monday for the Newcastle auditions. An announcement on the news is expected to be made shortly.

Pop star Britney Spears replaced Scherzinger on the upcoming second season of Simon Cowell's US X FACTOR.
