The Top 16 will be comprised of four picks from each judge. Each judge will also mentor a separate group of competitors. The assignments have not been confirmed, but according to reports, Lovato will mentor 12 to 16-year-old singers, Britney Spears will take charge of those 17 to 24 years old, L.A. Reid will guide singers 25 and up, and Cowell will oversee all groups.
Jonas and Lovato first worked together in the Jonas Brothers movie Camp Rock in 2008. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Jonas is also being considered for a judge's spot on FOX's other singing competition show American Idol.
Jonas was a part of the closing cast of the 2011 Broadway revival of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.
X Factor Season 2 will debut on September 12, 2012.
