Nia Vardalos, Peri Gilpin Set to Guest Star on ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY

According to the Hollywood Reporter, actresses Nia Vardalos and Peri Gilpin are set to guest star on an episode of ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY which will air in January 2012.  The twosome will play a pair of sisters, Karen and Marcy Winterbottom, who do not get along. 

Vardalos is best known for starring in the surprise blockbuster film 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'. Her recent TV credits include guest appearances on Cougar Town, Drop Dead Diva and My Boys. 

Peri starred on the long running NBC comedy series Frasier and most recently appeared on Make It or Break. 

ABC Studios recently announced that Vardalos, who is married to Cougar Town actor Ian Gomez, will be starring in a comedy series for the network which is currently in development. Joked the actress,"Because Ian gets treated really well on Cougar Town, I wanted to get in on that action."
