This week's NHL coverage on NBCSN begins tonight with a doubleheader, as Sidney Crosby and the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins travel to Philadelphia to face Claude Girouxand the Flyers at 7 p.m. ET. Coverage continues at 9:30 p.m. ET, when reigning league MVP Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers host Anze Kopitar and the Los Angeles Kings.
NBCSN's coverage of the NHL this week concludes on Sunday night, when Patrice Bergeron and the Bruins travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., to face the Penguins at 7:30 p.m. ET.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT RIVALRY - BLACKHAWKS-RANGERS AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Blackhawks (18-14-6, 42 pts) wrap up a six-game road trip in New York on Wednesday. Chicago SNAPPED a three-game skid on Friday with a win versus Edmonton, capped by Patrick Kane's game-winner. Chicago followed that performance by salvaging a point in a 4-3 overtime loss at Calgary on New Year's Eve after trailing 3-0.
The Rangers (21-13-5, 47 pts) are 18-6-3 since Oct. 31, despite posting a 2-1-2 record in their last five games. New York is currently seventh in goals-against per game (2.69) and ninth in scoring (3.10). Michael Grabner leads all players with 18 goals. The Rangers defeated the Buffalo Sabres, 3-2, in overtime at the 10th annual NHL Winter Classic on New Year's Day at Citi Field on NBC. J.T. Miller scored a power-play goal to seal the victory.
John Forslund (play-by-play), Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire ('Inside-the-Glass' analyst) and Joe Micheletti (analyst) will call Blackhawks-Rangers from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
PENGUINS-FLYERS - TONIGHT AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Penguins (19-18-3, 41 pts) are looking to right the ship after going 3-7-0 in their final 10 games of 2017. Phil Kessel leads the team in both points (42) and goals (16). Teammate Sidney Crosby has totaled 35 points and 14 goals.
The Flyers (16-14-8, 40 pts) ended the Lightning's eight-game home winning streak on Friday with a 5-3 victory. Sean Couturier recorded a goal and two assists in the win, and captain Claude Giroux, who leads the team with 46 points, added three assists. Tomorrow's game marks the first of a four-game home stand.
Kenny Albert (play-by-play) and Keith Jones (analyst) will have the call from Wells FARGO Center in Philadelphia.
KINGS-OILERS - TONIGHT AT 9:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Kings (23-11-5, 51 pts) have won three of their last five games, including a 4-3 victory over the Canucks on Saturday. Drew Doughty scored the game-winner in the third period to seal the win. Los Angeles is currently three points behind Vegas in the Pacific Division. Anze Kopitar leads the Kings in points (40) and is tied for first in goals (17).
The Oilers (17-19-3, 37 pts) are 4-2-1 in their last seven games, a stretch that included a four-game winning streak. Connor McDavid, who won the 2016-17 Hart Memorial Trophy and led the NHL with 100 points last season, currently leads the Oilers with 45 points in 39 games this year.
Alex Faust (play-by-play) and Jim FOX ('Inside-the-Glass' analyst) will have the call from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.
BRUINS-PENGUINS - SUNDAY AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Bruins (21-10-6, 48 pts) won six of their final seven games to close out 2017, including a 5-0 shutout against Ottawa on Saturday. Ryan Spooner netted two goals and Tuukka Rask made 25 saves in his second shutout of the season. David Pastrnak leads the team in points (34), and is tied with Brad Marchand for the most goals (15).

NBCSN's 2017-18 COLLEGE HOCKEY coverage continues Friday with a Big Ten clash between Notre Dame and Michigan. The Fighting Irish (16-3-1) have won 13 straight games, including consecutive wins against Wisconsin in early December. Notre Dame's Jake Evans is tied for first in NCAA Division I hockey with 28 points.
The Wolverines (7-8-2) fell to Bowling Green, 6-4, on Jan. 1. Michigan is led offensively by Cooper Marody, who leads the team with 24 points.
