New York Comedy Festival Announces 2018 Headliners & Dates Image

The 15th Annual New York Comedy Festival (NYCF), in partnership with TBS, today announces its line-up of comedians for the highly anticipated week-long laugh fest that takes place November 5th through November 11th. Expanding to seven days this year, the NYCF will present more than 200 comedians in more than 100 shows at some of New York City's most prestigious venues.

Among those who will headline this year's festival are Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr, David Cross, Desus & Mero, Dan Harmon's Harmontown, Gabriel Iglesias, Jim Jefferies, Anthony Jeselnik, Jo Koy, Bert Kreischer, Marc Maron, Jason Mewes, Tracy Morgan, CONAN O'Brien, Yvonne Orji, Bryan Safi and Erin Gibson's Throwing Shade, and Jonathan Van Ness and Antoni Porowski. Additional performers and shows will be announced in the coming months.

In addition to presenting the very best stand-up, the NYCF has celebrated comedy in all its forms by featuring a myriad of diverse programming that includes podcasts and radio broadcasts, conversations, panel discussions, improv and sketch comedy, film screenings and art installations.

In an era where new comedy specials are streaming daily and social media is playing a major role in introducing new talent to the world, live entertainment and events, such as the NYCF, are booming as they offer a unique experience which is impossible to recreate on a digital platform. After a successful first year presenting the event in 2017, TBS is returning with a new activation to amplify its presence - the TBS Stage at Sony Hall. TBS will take over Sony Hall with three nights of exclusive shows from Thursday, November 8th-Sunday, November 11th. The line-up for the TBS Stage, all-star talent, and fan experiences will be announced this September.

"Excited to be back in NYC doing the Festival again," said stand-up comedian Bill Burr. "I always have a great time!"

"The New York Comedy Festival has reached a major milestone, as we celebrate our 15th year this November. We continue to grow in both number of comedians and shows, and are excited to announce this first phase of talent," said Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival and Carolines on Broadway. "I think comedy fans will be quite impressed with the variety of programming come November. As we continue to grow our relationship with TBS, we're confident that this year's festival will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience."

And of course there's no better showcase for a deep roster of TBS talent."

Every year the New York Comedy Festival brings the who's who in comedy together, giving audiences the opportunity to see some of the comedy industry's biggest stars at iconic New York venues that include the Beacon Theatre, Carnegie Hall, Carolines on Broadway, Madison Square Garden, Town Hall and the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, among others.

Past festivals have included Judd Apatow, HANNIBAL Buress, Bill Burr, Billy Crystal, Whitney Cummings, Larry David, Bridget Everett, Jim Gaffigan, Ricky Gervais, Kevin Hart, Marc Maron, Joel McHale, Tracy Morgan, Tig Notaro, Patton Oswalt, Andy Samberg, Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman and Robin Williams, among others.
