Today, newly minted theatrical film distribution company Smith Global Media released the official trailer for gritty western crime thriller VALLEY OF BONES. The film is set to hit theaters on Friday, September 1. Check out the trailer below:
"Valley of Bones" is a nail-biting thriller set in the oil-rich Badlands of western North Dakota. Anna, a single mother and paleontologist, and McCoy, a meth-addicted oil worker, form an unlikely bond as they both struggle to make amends for their criminal pasts. Their hopes lay in the form of a monumental T-Rex fossil, a discovery potentially worth millions.
Directed by Dan Glaser ("Oxenfree," "Pinching Penny"), the film stars Autumn Reeser ("Sully," "The Arrangement"), Rhys Coiro ("Entourage," "30 Days of Night: Dark Days"), Steven Molony ("Efficiency," "The Moment After"), Alexandra Billings ("Transparent," "Grey's Anatomy"), Bill Smitrovich ("Ted," "The Rum Diary") and Mark Margolis ("The Wrestler," "Breaking Bad").
The film was produced by Jon Wanzek and Bad Medicine Films. Dan Glaser, Steven Molony and Richard Lewis wrote the screenplay based on a story by Jon Wanzek.
Just over sixth months since the formation of the company, L.A.-based Smith Global Media, founded by HARRY Smith, is now assembling a domestic theatrical release slate that will see the company bring 10-12 films, spanning all genres, to theaters over the next year and half.
"Valley of Bones" is the second theatrical film release for Smith Global Media. In December of 2016, the company released the award-winning faith-based drama "Believe", which was named the 2016 Film of the Year by The Christian Film Review.
