New TV Comedy COMPLIANCE Starring Mary Louise Parker Coming to FX

According to Variety, Tony Winner Mary Louise Parker (PROOF, ANGELS IN AMERICA, WEEDS) will star alongside another Tony Winner Courtney B. Vance (LUCKY GUY, LAW & ORDER) in the new FX comedy series COMPLIANCE. The show will be directed by Sam Gold (FUN HOME) and produced by Scott Rudin Production. Sarah Burgess will executive produce and pen the series.

COMPLIANCE is scheduled to be a half-hour series centered around the SEC compliance officer of a successful Wall Street Firm. Parker will lead the cast continuing her successful career both on stage and on camera. She is perhaps best known for her role as Nancy Botwin in the series WEEDS, and is the winner of both a Tony Award and a Golden Globe for her work on WEEDS. Courtney B. Vance, most recently known for his role as Johnnie Cochran in the hit Ryan Murphy project THE PEOPLE V. O.J. SIMPSON: AMERICAN CRIME STORY is cast opposite Parker.

Scott Rudin is the man behind award-winning films THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, TRUE GRIT and THE QUEEN, along with several Broadway hit productions such as PASSION, THE BOOK OF MORMON, THE HUMANS, and A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE.
