Cooking Channel kicks off August with new series Restaurant Takeover beginning Monday, August 12th at 10pmET/7pmPT as one chef and an expert designer help rescue failing restaurants in just six days.

Adding to the heat of the Primetime lineup, Cooking Channel serves up season premieres of Unique Eats on Thursday, August 1st at 8pmET/5pmPT, Chuck's Eat the Street on Thursday, August 1st at 10pmET/7pmPT, and Not My Mama's Meals on Wednesday, August 21st at 9pmET/6pmPT. New episodes of Cooking Channel favorites including Donut Showdown, Eat St., Kelsey's Essentials, Man Fire Food, Road Trip with G. Garvin and Tripping Out with Alie & Georgia are also on the August menu.

SERIES PREMIERE

Restaurant Takeover
Restaurant Takeover challenges two restaurant industry top guns, one chef and one expert designer to help rescue a failing restaurant. They have just six days to overhaul and re-launch a local eatery for review by the toughest critics - the restaurant's customers.

Premiering Monday, August 12th at 10pmET/7pmPT - "Brownstone Bistro" - SERIES PREMIERE!
Brownstone Bistro is in need of major changes. Unfortunately, the father and son owners just don't see eye-to-eye. Chef Derek Minkensky and designer Paula Velez are intervening in a last ditch effort to save this family business.

Premiering Monday, August 19th at 10pmET/7pmPT - "Royal Caribbean"
Royal Caribbean's chef Ainsley is as easy-going as he is seasoned. While area construction tore apart the neighborhood, he sat back and watched his business crumble. Now, Restaurant Takeover is sending in chef Andrea Nicholson and designer Montana Burnett to pick up the pieces.
Premiering Monday, August 26th at 10pmET/7pmPT - "El Fogon"
Centrally located in an up-and-coming neighborhood, El Fogon should be at capacity every night. Instead, it's just a place that people pass by. Specializing in the Peruvian tastes of their ancestors, Jorge and Paulo share big dreams, but time and financial constraints prevent them from moving forward. Restaurant Takeover is sending in chef Massimo Capra and designer Montana Burnett to lend a much needed hand.

Chuck's Eat the Street
Premiering Thursday, August 1st at 10pmET/7pmPT - "Rocky Mountain Meals" - SEASON PREMIERE!
In Aspen, Chuck eats his way down Hopkins Avenue. A snowball's throw from the slopes, rodeo rider turned chef Kathleen Crook serves Chuck a massive 30-ounce steak with a big rib-bone handle called the Tomahawk. At Ute City, named for the original Ute Indians of the region, Chef Rob McClanahan shows Chuck how to grill Duck a la Plancha. After stopping in at Sarah Helsley's Cheese Shop, Chuck indulges in fondue, the ultimate post-ski meal and finds dessert at Creperie du Village, a cozy eatery where Chef Jason DeBacker makes a sweet crepe with a jaw-breaking German name: The Schokoladepalatschinke.
Premiering Thursday, August 8th at 10pmET/7pmPT -"Big D, Little Street"
Dallas has a huge food reputation, but on the other side of the river, in the little neighborhood of Bishop Arts, some consider this the best food scene in the Big D. Everyone goes crazy for Lucia, where Chef David Uygur shows Chuck how to use a hand-cranked machine to churn out the bigoli pasta that accompanies duck ragout. At German-influenced Lockhart Smokehouse, Chuck learns the history of legendary Texas barbeque from pitmaster Will Fleishman who serves up both brisket and shoulder clod. For dessert, Chuck tries a handmade, artisanal chocolate "salami" at Chef Katherine Clapner's simple, storefront called Dude, Sweet Chocolate.
Premiering Thursday, August 15th at 10pmET/7pmPT -"Caribbean Surf and Turf"
San Juan has tropical produce and Atlantic and Caribbean seafood, and Chuck takes a walk to try all the tastes on Fortaleza Street. At Aguaviva, Chef Hector Cresto teaches Chuck how to catch spiny lobster and then turn it into delicious ceviche with coconut cream and lime. Next up at Siglo XX, Chef Olga Flores and Chuck use an enormous 54-inch paella pan to make seafood paella. At Café El Punto, Chuck receives a lesson from Alejandro Jeffs on how to make a traditional mofongo with skirt steak that rivals that of any Puerto Rican grandmother. Chuck washes it all down with coconut water straight from the source at Santana Nubios' street stall, Cocos Frios.
Premiering Thursday, August 22nd at 10pmET/7pmPT -"Straight Up San Antonio"
On the colorful and quirky street called St. Mary's in San Antonio, Chuck digs into a new spin on a classic Tex Mex breakfast, the Chalupa Robert that Amador Montoya prepares at El Milagrito. At The Monterey, Chef Chad Carey demonstrates his high-end take on a Texas football favorite, Frito Pie, by smothering a po'boy with smoked pork chili, jalapeño mayo, cheddar, and corn chips. Chuck then visits Gwendolyn, where he samples Chef Michael Sohocki's pre-Industrial cooking and makes braised quail with oyster mushrooms using only tools and methods that existed before 1850. Where St. Mary's crosses the river, Chuck stops in at legendary Biga on the Banks to sample Chef Bruce Auden's oysters, an ode to Texas' love affair with everything fried.
Premiering Thursday, August 29th at 10pmET/7pmPT -"Santa Fe Spice Up"
Santa Fe is one of America's oldest cities, and in every bite you can taste its history and native culture. Chuck's first stop on Water Street is Coyote Café to try a dish rooted in the American West, Chef Eric DiStefano's Elk Tenderloin Marinated in Hoisin and Beer. At Rooftop Pizzeria, Chuck dives into Chef Russell Thornton's Southwest pizza with its signature blue-corn crust and green chiles. After a tour of New Mexico's most famous food, the chile, Chuck answers the state question at Chris Beck's Chile Shop: red or green? Finally, Chuck and Chef Katherine Kagal of Café Pasqual's make a roasted turkey and sides in a unique outdoor oven, but not before hand making the pottery in which it cooks.

Next, a food truck in Nashville, Tenn., uses big biscuits for hearty sweet and savory sandwiches. Yardbird in Miami gives a taste of the true south with its unique fried chicken and fried green tomatoes. Next, Dinic's in Philadelphia's Reading Terminal has been serving up some of the best old school sandwiches to crowds for decades. In New York, old school meets new school at Quality Meats Steakhouse. La Camaronera in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami honors a family seafood tradition.

Atlanta is a hotbed for unique eats. Heirloom Market BBQ brings together Korean and American barbecue in a quirky roadside eatery. Seafood dishes are brought to delicious new heights at swank newcomer The Optimist. Cozy corner restaurant One Eared Stag serves edgy American food, and Abbatoir adds global touches to Southern dishes.
Premiering Sunday, August 25th at 9pmET/6pmPT - "Swine"
Americans continue to pine over all things swine. Korean restaurant Palsaik in Los Angeles serves bacon in eight different flavors. Martin's Bar-B-Q in Nashville smokes whole hog right in the center of their dining room. At Cemitas Puebla in Chicago, diners sink their teeth on quesadillas stuffed with chicharones or their signature Mexican sandwich stuffed with sliced deli ham, fried and grilled pork. New York City's The Cannibal celebrates nose-to-tail eating with their whole slow-roasted half pig's head, whipped lardo toast and boudin noir sausages.

Premiering Thursday, August 1st at 8pmET/5pmPT - "Wolf, Bears and Rock Stars"
First stop is San Antonio for astonishing appetizers unlike any other, at the Tapa Tapa truck. Then we're curbside in Montreal for gourmet tacos with all the trimmings at the Grumman 78 truck. Next, we check out some of the best Middle Eastern cuisine in Portland at the Wolf and Bear's cart. Finally it's meatball mania at Marky Ramone's Cruisin' Kitchen in New York, where you can dine on Italian blitzkrieg balls covered in Marky's own marinara.
Premiering Thursday, August 8th at 8pmET/5pmPT - "Healthy Nuts and Sprinkles"
In Miami, the Health Nut on Wheels truck boasts a maple-dijon salmon filet on a bed of mixed greens. Next we hit the streets of Edmonton, Alberta, for gourmet sandwiches at the Drift truck. Then we visit the Fogcutter truck in San Francisco for brunch done right. Lastly in San Antonio, the Society Bakery truck brings its sweet treats to the streets.
Premiering Thursday, August 15th at 8pmET/5pmPT - "Cart Blanche"
At the Dock 'n Roll Diner in Austin, Texas, two best buddies whip up handheld seafood classics with a southern flair. Next, anything goes at the Carte Blanche trailer in Portland as they serve up their Coconut Shrimp with an Apricot Bourbon Sauce and a Fried Banana Shrimp Sandwich with Peach Coleslaw. Then, in Louisville, Ky., The Grind Truck is known for gourmet melted brie and bacon burgers. Final stop is in Vancouver, where Le Tigre truck's modern Asian cuisine has the locals going wild.

Kelsey's Essentials
Premiering Wednesday, August 7th at 8pmET/5pmPT - "Snack Attack"
After visiting S'mores Bakery and seeing how they turned an American favorite snack upside down, Kelsey heads back to her kitchen to make her version of one of her all-time favorite snacks-a Microwave Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cream. Kelsey then heads to Kings County Jerky to see how they reinvented the traditional jerky to create flavors like Korean BBQ and Mole. Kelsey then makes a "snack attack" of Fried Chickpeas with Parmesan, Lemon and Almonds

Kelsey is celebrating the big first - her son Ollie's first birthday. First up are mouthwatering

Kelsey heads to Kimchi Taco Truck to visit the mashup master, Phil Lee. Man Fire Food
Premiering Tuesday, August 6th at 8pmET/5pmPT - "Cajun Cookouts"
Roger heads to Texas and Louisiana to feast on classic Cajun cooking. In small town Mamou, Louisiana there's a big time smokehouse filled with five hundred pounds of Southern smoked favorites. Roger helps owner, T-Boy, fill the dark, cavernous room with sausages, ribs and jerky, and then they fire up the smoker. They smoke the meat with T-Boy's famous red beans and serve it over white rice. Also, in College Station, Texas, a professor originally from Louisiana has transformed a shed into a smoker in order to make Cochon de Lait, a Cajun pig roast.
Premiering Tuesday, August 13th at 8pmET/5pmPT - "Crazy for Chicken"
Roger travels across Massachusetts to meet two chefs who put a brand new spin on fire-roasted, rotisserie chicken. In Great Barrington, Roger visits The Meat Market, a butcher shop, restaurant and home base for Fire Roasted Catering. Their mobile kitchen is a collection of metal contraptions fueled by wood burning fires, but the one that captures Roger's attention suspends a flock of chickens around a barrel of fire. On Martha's Vineyard, Roger visits Beetlebung Farm where they throw a dinner party and serve a New England feast of chickens, lobsters and whole fish that is cooked over a wood fire.
Premiering Tuesday, August 27th at 8pmET/5pmPT - "Food Traditions"
Roger visits New England for two unique food traditions. Roger joins the Rotary Club of Essex in Connecticut where they roast three hundred pounds of fish around a ring of coals for their annual Shad Bake. In Western Massachusetts, Roger meets Neftali Duran who dug a giant hole in his backyard and lined it with stones and bricks to cook goat barbacoa, a classic dish from his hometown Oaxaca, Mexico.

Road Trip with G. Garvin
Premiering Tuesday, August 6th at 9pmET/6pmPT - "Philadelphia"
G. heads to Philadelphia to find out what the City of Brotherly Love has to offer. He starts at Supper, where Chef Mitch Prensky incorporates some Southern style with his unique twist on a breakfast favorite, Red Velvet Waffles. Next stop is Warmdaddy's for a taste of soul with their much-talked about All-Night Braised Turkey Wings and Pineapple Upside-Down Bread Pudding. Then it's a stop to sample the best oxtail and gravy in town at Caribbean Feast. Then, G.'s off to satisfy his sweet tooth at the Cookie Confidential, where the owner puts some hometown pride in her Philly Cheesesteak Cookie.

Tripping Out with Alie & Georgia
Premiering Friday, August 2nd at 10:30pmET/7:30pmPT - "Miami"
Join best friends, and mixologists, Alie Ward and Georgia Hardstark, as they head to Miami for food, drinks and good times. Hilarity ensues when they take a synchronized swimming class at the local pool. Donning vintage swimsuits and caps, the girls take the plunge and learn from the pros. Then, they're off in search of the best key lime pie in the city. They find it in the most unlikely of places, the local firehouse, where Fireman Derek whips up his sugarless version of this classic Miami dessert. Inspired by the clever small plates at the Sugarcane restaurant, Alie and Georgia return home and make eclectic appetizers and a custom cocktail for their friends that reflect their Miami adventure.
