The popular TV series "Hunting Season," created by Jon Marcus and starring Ben Baur, is set to debut its second season on Vimeo On Demand, with a ninety-day exclusive window. The first episode of Season Two premieres Tuesday, May 5th at Vimeo.com/OnDemand/HuntingSeason. A new episode will premiere every Tuesday for four weeks.

"Hunting Season," a chronicle of modern gay life that satirizes dating in a world of constant connectedness and endless choice, was enormously popular in its first season, racking up two million views across multiple platforms. The second season was funded with a $150,000 Kickstarter campaign backed by its enthusiastic and loyal fan base.

The second season, which has abandoned its short web series format for a longer, cable TV -like "half-hour" length, consists of four episodes, and will cost $4.99 each to purchase and $2.99 to rent. Unlike Season 1, there will not be a "censored" version. Season 1 of the series can be watched for free here.

"Hunting Season" tells the story of Alex (Ben Baur), who has been keeping a secret sex blog since breaking up with his boyfriend two years ago, and enjoying all the benefits of being young and single in New York - where take out, dry cleaning and sex can be at your door in 15 minutes. When Alex runs into someone from his past he re-considers the consequences of his freedom and decides to make some changes, with unexpected results. His two best friends are going through their own turmoil as well, as Tommy (Marc Sinoway) confronts someone who despises him and everything he stands for, and TJ (Jake Manabat) and his husband explore non-monogamy in their marriage. Marcus said: "As Vimeo grows into a destination to view the highest quality online series, I am proud to be releasing our long-anticipated Season 2 on the platform.

"We're excited that Jon has chosen Vimeo as the platform to release the second season of 'Hunting Season,' said Sam Toles, VP of Content Acquisitions and Business Development, Vimeo. "Vimeo is all about giving power to the creators and we are happy to see a talented creator like Jon harness the power of our VOD platform to reach his audience directly."

Marcus, the creator, writer and director of "Hunting Season," started his career producing iconic New York indie films like PARTY MONSTER and working on a slew of films that challenged both mainstream and gay culture at the same time, such as HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, BOYS DON'T CRY, and FAR FROM HEAVEN. He has sold half a dozen TV pilots to networks and was a producer on the ABC series "Scoundrels" starring Virginia Madsen. He is a past member of the board of directors of Outfest: the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, is on the graduate film faculty of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts teaching screenwriting for television and web series, and is an alum of Brown University.

Ben Baur's role as ALEX on "Hunting Season" landed him on OUT MAGAZINE'S top ten most eligible bachelors list in both 2013 and 2014. He will be starring in the upcoming feature "Something Like Summer," and appears in the new Hulu series "Difficult People," as well as "The Following," "Happily Divorced" and "Nip/Tuck," and a segment of ABC's "What Would You Do" that went viral last year. He lives in New York and is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

The second season ups the ante on its first season's award-winning soundtrack with a set of pop tunes sure to please, from acts including NYC's dance-pop force of nature AVAN LAVA, currently touring to support their new EP, Make It Real, the buzzy electronic outfit DU TONC, San Francisco's boy/girl duo CATHEDRALS, Brooklyn-based LINDBERGH PALACE, indie electronic band HUMANS, and up-and-coming NYC pop sensation AYER.

Also featured on the soundtrack is the young NYC production duo THE DISCO FRIES, a tremendously successful EDM act that has already hit the Billboard and iTunes Dance Album charts with their releases.
